One down . . .

May 19th marks my first year living in Spain, again. This time in Madrid as a wife and now a mom.

Here are a few things I love about Spain:

when people see you eating they say, ¨que aproveche¨

small, cold draft beers called cañas

that potato chips can be eaten daily without judgement

that almost nobody goes to bed early

public health care (just the fact that they have it, i don´t love the care)

that old people go out, meet for tapas, beer and conversation

that the guy who sells me fruit calls me guapa (he calls all the women that)

that frying things in olive oil make them healthy

that my beautiful Esther Agustina was born here

I am not sure I like the fact that no one goes to bed early here. It makes me feel like I’m 85 not 35
